We are supposed to feel sorry for all the spammers because they can't readily break the TOS? I try to USE craigslist and every time I post something locally relevant I end up with two weeks of spam from idiots who can't even read a post to spam with relevancy.
It's about time they cut abusers who have no clue how to do anything related to marketing other than spam people.

I was poking around on CL seeing what sorta stuff they have in place and I found that if I try to post an ad from my Android phone it requires an account in every section. I had been seeing if every time I rebooted my phone it gave me a dynamic IP, which it did. Just seems odd that you need a CL account to post from a phone. Maybe people were spamming from their phones and blocked a certain range of IPs, or it could of been the mobile user agent.

first, you need to check your provider to make sure of it. Since, I don't get the same problem as yours. However, I will try to look at it once again. Who knows I experience the same as yours. I seldom connect with my phone, so I don't know for sure.

You can spam .... um I mean post .... in unlimited cities by using the "Jobs" category. It's $25 per geographic area and category. The listing is for 30 days, and I get very good results for filling commissioned sales positions from all over the US.

Craigslist is fantastic for buying and selling products too. But I would never do business with anyone who cheats the system, because that says a lot about the poster. Try eBay if you are targeting a large geographic area.

Paul - there has been a lot of abuse in the Jobs section, too - they now have a post that you need to click through to read job ads. There were a mass of fake job posters who would offer incredible jobs then the reply was to send people to pages which harvest info. Got to be sickening and so they are arming against that type of abuse as well. I'm suspecting the idiots are about to result in a crack down on national job postings very shortly. But, as you have pointed out - there are alternatives and scammers might do well to just go use them instead of crying about how terrible it is that they aren't being allowed to ruin what was meant to be a local resource site.

Anyone - and I mean ANYONE who sends me craigslist fake ads or spam is reported immediately. I have handed one "pet for sale" scammer into the authorities and my hope is that asshole will end up behind bars.

Three almost identical posts from 3 "different" people in response to an otherwise fairly pointless "have you been battered by big bad Craiglist" post?

This entire thread is a tad suspect...
