Just Discovered - The Writers Diet!!!

I've made an accidental discovery.

Last week my hard drive began failing so I ended up without my computer for 3 days. Yes, I know I need a backup computer but I gave it away a while back as I was planning to buy a new one - then the economy slammed me down and I haven't been able to do it yet.

Any way - I had a client who needed a lot of writing done and the delay put me behind. No problem - I thought - I'll just push hard to catch up on work.

So -

Tuesday I worked 10 hrs and didn't get as much written as I thought I would. So Wednesday I started working early and just kept going...through the day and all night. I completed the project just as the sun was coming up Thursday morning.

I was scheduled to work my part-time job Thursday but no problem - I can usually get out of there after a couple hours if I need to.

Wrong! Busy at work....I ended up working 8 hours there.

In the end I was awake (and working) from 7 am Wednesday morning until 10:30 Thursday night. The only bad part was Thursday afternoon when I felt dizzy and weak for a few minutes and realized I hadn't eaten since the day before but a pack of peanut butter crackers jumped the blood sugar up.

When I weighed myself this morning (Friday) I had lost four pounds. Problem is I've been trying to gain five pounds!

Gives a whole new slant to "working your ass off" doesn't it?
