Audio, Video, Or Good Old Fashion Book?

What's your favorite way to ingest new information?

I personally prefer a book, ebook or regular old bound models, simply for the fact of being able to go directly to the information I want at the turn of a page.

Video and audio, however, makes it very difficult and often times you are stuck listening and watching a ton of stuff you are not only not interested in, but are already up to speed on and would simply skip in a book.

What's your preference?

For almost everything I prefer a real book, then ebook.
If I'm doing something to my bike or building something new I
like to watch a video of it after I've read how to do it.

Absolutely, definitely a book or really any written format. I
can't bring myself to listen to audio. Videos if I have a strong
sense that it's good and to the point. Most are not that, though.

I've noticed for quite a while now that email marketers like
to use video. Get an email, read it, link to video- delete. lol

Perhaps it's my age and also because I'm a fast reader. The other
stuff is just too slow and painful.

I'm a visual hands on type of guy, so I always learn best and am more motivated using visual techniques.

I dislike audio recordings. Video first for me, then books/ebooks.

Actually my eyes are so burnt from being online so much this past 10 years, that I don't like to read much, online or even hard copy anymore. Every year the reading/computer glasses get stronger and I am squinting more.

As well I find that videos are the best in technical training for those like me that prefer hands-on vs. concepts.

I like to see exactly what the screen will look like and some of the videos now show the whole step-by-step process, in real time, which I find easy to follow.

Having said that, turn it off and it is gone from my mind - so maybe print outs of the screen shots would work in addition to the live videos, if it is something you will not use often (and will forget).

The videos give two ways to absorb information, both seeing and hearing someone talk you through the steps.

I agree audio alone is like not worth the paper it is printed on, aka 'in one ear and out the other'...

Being a visual person, I prefer videos, books are also good (hard copy, not e-books). But I try to avoid audio because I realise I tend to space out when listening.

      Book.
      Book.
      Book.

Everything else is a poor second.

That said, most people seem to do better with audio or video than with hard copy, drag-your-eyes-over-it dead tree info.

I'll take a book over anything else. I like to pull out the yellow highlighter, can't do that with audio or video.

Why don't add book as well as Audio or Video course?

I think this way we can easily increase product's credibility and usefulness. For example many products in IM niche are both Ebook, Audio and Video Course like The New Money Masters and Outsource Force.
