Warrior Forum time change issue

Like many other Warriors I have my profile set to display posts in my local time zone - in my case HST which is GMT -10.

Today of course was the day that Daylight Savings time ended in many time zones. Unlike most states and provinces we don't observe Daylight Savings Time here in Hawaii (just like Arizona, Saskatchewan and I believe parts of Indiana).

Now all my times are an hour off, even though the bottom of the page still reads "All times are GMT -10".

If the forum clock is really based upon GMT then why would this happen?

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this?

Bill

If it helps Bill (and I'm really not sure it will!!) I'm in the UK and on GMT. The time on this forum is correct for me. It reads:

"All times are GMT. The time is 10:37 AM"

All this putting the clocks forwards and backwards, on different days depending upon your time zone, confuses the hell out of me.

    Anyway, what day is it?

    Is Christmas here yet?

    What happened to summer time?

    Nurse, where's my medication?

The GMT itself, Greenwich being in the UK, falls under the Daylights Savings Time. While your time stays the same, you can't expect it to stay in sync with the rest of the world if the rest of the world (or rather the deciding factor - the GMT) moves.

Have you actually set the clock/time/date on your computer to
      adjust for summertime automatically.

Easy to overlook with a new PC or OS install

In my case it's not an issue, we don't have Daylight Savings Time here and when you select HST on Windows or LINUX it knows that and disables the box to automatically adjust for Daylight Savings. And also, it was displaying the wrong time on 4 of my computers.

But it's resolved now, I'm no longer looking a hour ahead into the future!

Thanks for the thread, I had completely forgotten about the time change.
Too many clocks. Car, clock radio, microwave, stove, coffee maker, VCR, rice cooker, wrist watch. At least my computer adjusts by itself.

I think you're totally wrong, but your not alone.

Opposed to what you say, GMT doesn't move with the British Sumer Time. UK isn't on GMT during the summer. They're on GMT+1.

Many US internet marketers make the same mistake. They wrongly announce the GMT time for their webinars and launches, thinking GMT is a moving time. Comes out very confusing to their customers.

But then, many US marketers also think the time on the east coast during summer can be called EST. Also very confusing to customers.
