I'm a fool... look at my post count

I'm addicted. I admit it. I can't stop reading and commenting on the WF. Perhaps I'll grow up someday.

I just heard from a marketer that makes really good money in a niche. She used to post here but hasn't in years now. She said her productivity tripled since she stopped posting so much and I'm sure her income has increased as well.

If you look at the really successful people, Kern, Filsaime, Reese, their post counts are not that high. Some of you wouldn't let them get a free review copy of your product if you didn't know their name and based only on their post count.

Post counts mean nothing except a lot of time spent either helping people or entertaining yourself.

I'm not saying don't post. I'm a big offender if that were the case. I'm saying be careful where you spend your time. It's wonderful if you post to help others, just make sure you take care of yourself too. I'm mostly beating myself up here, but you get the idea.

The correlation between post count and success is not so simple.

Some people hit an earning plateau, and they don't care; they have reached their personal goal. Their happy with that, so they have time to post more often.

Some people, (Filsaime for example) have what I call "A love of business". It's not *just* the money; They truly get a sense of personal satisfaction from building something new. Sure, they made $1 million last year. But what of it? They want to see how much they can make, and what else they can create.

My point being, that the second personality type (The never-enough achiever?) is prone to getting sucked into one big project after another. They enjoy working on those projects, and find it more entertaining than posting; so thats what they do.

An over-generalization I'm certain, but I'm positive the above factors into pretty much every person on this forum in one way or another.
