If so, what's your experience been like?

How much did you end paying for your item?

I'm looking at some laptops there, but I can't see what the prices were for the auctions that have ended.

Anyone?

    Hey Chris,
I came across that site recently but wasn't sure. Not of the site but the system they use looked like you could use a lot bid credit quickly.

I've bid on there and it's a money sink! The site has a number of glitches with the countdown and failing to process bids in time. The site rules are very complex and the chance that you will win is VERY small. Many people have lost thousands on there.

I lost 2000 on a TV. I had bidbutlers in place (which guarantees my bids are placed in before the timer runs down, increasing it by another 10 seconds in the process. I still had another 10 bidbutlers left.) but someone with a single bid outbid me! Which should not happen. I emailed swoopo and they replied 2 weeks later giving me a by the book answer saying that nothing showed up on their systems.

A lot of people think they have bots in place as well to artificially inflate the amounts of bids you have to place. The people who have actually won at a low price placed thousands of bids with each bid costing you 60 cents! so a 100 dollar laptop actually costs 3000 dollars! (each bid increases the site by 2 cents. so 100 x 50 x .6). And if you lose the item you don't get your money back because you pay for the bids upfront. You are paying for the opportunity to win.

Also each auction lasts at least 2 days and could end anywhere between 2 days to 4 days because each bid increases the timer by 10 seconds. I had to stay up 28 hours straight (im not kidding, and it was going on for 2 days already) before the auction ended and I still lost because their system glitched out. 2000 dollars gone.

Wow, and I felt ripped off losing $200 trying to get a Wii and ending up empty handed. I don't even want to imagine losing $2,000 for nothing.

It was very tempting to bid on some of those (MacBook Pro, $32.70, 5 minutes to go lol), but it sounds too good to be true. And it doesn't seem to have gotten very good feedback, eh?

I spent hours watching various auctions there and tried to come up with a strategy to win...I eventually did...don't bid.

I saw way to many people spend way to much money to lose. Does the site show some incredible deals for people, yeah, are they legit, who knows.

Just not worth the risk, if I am going to gamble I would rather play poker.
