Well it is actually a $700 Billion dollar bail out, but what is $100 Billion among friends? The real concern that is immediately apparent is that the deficit gets a raise to $11.315 TRILLION dollars, and that's just insane.

That being said, these bad loans that the government is buying out will probably result in them being resold for more than the purchase price and pay off that new debt pretty quickly while also restoring a number of lending organiztions to more stable footing financially.

I read in the paper today that this 700 billion bailout- the proposal is not allowed to be read by any courts of law. Since we can't view the proposal- how do we know what the money is really going to?

Maybe im confused with this mess?

The cause of this crisis from what I understand is bad mortgage loans
that people were tricked into some how.

Instead of bailing out the financial institutions, why not bail out
the American people so they can pay their mortgages which in turn
the banks get their money. Its a win win, if they really want to help.

Why should Americans always suffer because of the greed of others,
American should stop paying taxes, because the gov't is mismanaging
the money, the Fed should be fired, abolished, they are not serving the people.

Same with both the Republicans and Democrats, fired.

That's the idea: bail out the sharks, so they can go on eating fish.
