I am a self employed tiler by day and am very good at my job. I have built myself a very good reputation and never have no work.

So the other day for a friend I was asked to take off a few rows of tiles and replace them with some others that mathched the broken ones I took down. Was not a very eciting job by any means but it was for a friend so I felt abliged.

Anyway it took me nearly three times as long as it would of done normally because I had to match all the tiles in with what was already there. They were not on flat to say the least.

And I found it 10 times harder to make a bad job as I would of if I had tiled to my usuall standard.

Just goes to show that whe I go out and see some other peoples attemps at tiling, that they actually had made the job 10 harder buy not doing it properly.

Just a pointless post but hey!!!!

Needed to get it off my chest

The difference between an amateur and a professional in any field is that a professional does every job like its the most important job in the world.

If you do good work for your friends on small jobs, that speaks volumes for your work all by itself.
