Hello Warriors. Hope someone can help me with this.

Well it's not my PC but for someone I am doing some work for.

They worked in an office where the PCs were connected via "my network places". Now she is no longer working in that office but still has the same computer. Is there a way to find out if the computer is still connected to the network and remove it so no one can see what she is doing. It's her competitors type of thing...she left and started doing here own thing on the side....and now she wants to know if they can still see what she is doing cause it is the same PC.

    Hi,

She can go into her Control Panel and click on "Network Connections".
Then she can disable any networks that are shown.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, as lcombs said, you can easily disable any network from your control panel.
Since from your question it is not clear if that was company`s computer, there is also possibility that company installed some kind of monitoring software (from visible ones to stealth keyloggers) which could periodically sent reports through any available internet connection. Therefore proper antivirus/adware scan and installation of some firewall (like ZoneAlarm or so) is recommended (and set it up to manual approval of all program`s connections).

However, if particular person is not so tech savvy and/or want to cover all security holes, reinstalling of operating system with formatting of all hard drives (of course, backup all important data before, since it will be lost) is proven solution.
It may sounds too complicated, but sometimes only "paranoid" mode is good enough.

    Hope that helped.
