Ever since I got Burts Bees Bay Rum aftershave, and then they discontinued, then continued again , I almost became a Bay Rum stalker. Just has an old school " real man's" scent, strong, but not fancy. I am still contemplating to get different Bay Rum colognes to see how they are. Like the strong, spicy scents, stuff that sets your face on fire. Even, Pinuads, that cheap, old school barbershop tonic, came off the bench and filled in until I got some bay rum. Smellin that stuff remind me of old barbershop days as a kid....the only place you can find a real barbershop nowadays is on wiki, smithsonian references...."archeologist click here". Think me first try of something other than Burts Bees is that product that claimed to have REAL rum in it and other natural ingredients, no synthetics. Just because something was old school don't mean it wasn't cool. Bet'cha Lee Marvin or Bogart wore something that said " you dealin with a real hombre, chump". Nothin fancy or pretty. You know, the kinda stuff you splash on after shaving with a 36" Machete. Might even look for some High Karate, just for sport. The 13th Warrior |

Have to go to an old time diner to find the High Karate. I remember seeing the dispensers in the bathroom, and you could get a spray for a quarter or something. (Never did it.) High Karate and condom dispensers, right next to each other. I remember my dad used Old Spice after he shaved. He used the bristle brush and soap in the cup thing. Had the old razor with the double edge. Once in a great while I'll wear it. It always reminds me of my father. |
| You don't have to like or love everything or everyone, not in the usual sense. Injustices and villains always abound during primitive times. You knew this would be true before you chose this life, just as you knew that the good and the beauty would far exceed the bad and the ugly. Go where you're drawn, and dwell upon all that is good. ~ Mike Dooley | |
