How do I THANK someone?

Hi, I can't figure out how to thank people!!!
I keep seeing "click thank button bottom right" but I can't see it.
What's going on?

You have to have about six posts or so before the "Thanks" button appears below each post.

You'll get there, then just go back and thank those that have helped you or you feel provided good advice.

When I joined I was able to thank someone the first day, then the button went away. After about 10 or 15 posts it came back. Then I was away from the forum for a couple of months and the button was gone. I made a post and it came back. There may be changing rules or the button is either capricious or schizophrenic.

My infractions button comes and goes all the time! I haven't had a chance to look and see if I've been infracted!

I don't see one when I go there, maybe I'm not allowed to give one, even though I can't think of any one to give one to...

Your posts in certain sections of the forum do not count toward your post count total. Such as the Off Topic section. So no matter how many times you post here it won't show up.

I was looking through all the FAQ's as well for this information. I am glad that you asked in order for us all to learn. I have been learning a lot the past month here. I Have finally begun to put together information that I have and started to get some things going for myself. It is even beginning to pay off slowly but surely. Ask a close friend or family member to tell you the last time somebody thanked them for something, and remember what that means the next time you're out of the house.
Even when you miss an opportunity to thank someone, feel the respect for what that person or those people did for you. Get into the habit of appreciating other people doing things for you.
For anyone who has read Carnegie's' How to Win Friends and Influence People, thanking somebody should seem a relatively easy and routine task. But it isn't. Remember, before anything else, that if you don't thank somebody, they may not mind, but they will remember it.

Do not shower them with praise. Rather than feeling appreciated they many feel entitled for something in return, or maybe even insulted.

I don't know the details, but as I understand it, you can't thank ANYONE until you get a certain number of posts. THEN, the number of people you can thank in a certain time goes up with the post count. Even ****I**** have hit the limit a couple times. I think I might be like the 5th highest post count, so I think EVERYONE has a limit. But I think it is timed. After a certain period of time, you can thank more people.

If you're the thread started, the Thanks button for reply should be on the buttom of their posts.

or

Get his Skype ID then call him, and say "Thanks". =)

I totally agree. Did the same thing myself.

And why would you have to have "x" number of posts to thank someone?? If you're new, like me, you're bound to be helped right off the bat and it seems like that is the best thing you could do straight away is to thank those who've provided helpful information. Seems like you'd get started on the right foot. Maybe someone more seasoned can explain why it isn't a good idea for a newbie to be able to thank other warriors.
