The best solution to do what? What is the purpose of the website you want to build?

WordPress is outstanding, many of us use it almost exclusively. But if you are a beginner and just want to get a site up quickly it may not be necessary for you to learn WordPress yet. If it's a squeeze page you are looking for, for example, WordPress isn't the easiest answer at all.

It all depends on what, specifically, you want to do.

    Cheers,
    Neil

Wordpress is a very simple solution to getting online fast. Most hosting companies like bluehost or hostgator will have very simple installation of wordpress with a few clicks of the mouse. After you get it installed there are literally thousands of free themes and pluggins you can use to completely customize your site to anything you want it to be.

      hope this helps,
      Bob

Word Press is definitely good for beginners.....trust me on that one. Even I can drive the thing. My answer to technology though, since I am a writer and basically a techno-moron was JV. You can do anything with the right JV partners. But if you want hands on visibility daily, WP is definitely a good way to go - you can always hook a static site to it, too. That's versatility.
