Default I'm so proud of my Kiva friends

Kiva.com allows me to safely send micro loans to people around the world. My Portfolio is fun to view. I have several that have paid back 100% and the rest are paying back as agreed.

It's a kick to enable these hard working people to make a living. It feels so good. I get tears when I look at them and know they are doing everything they can to provide for their family. What I have done is nothing to me, but it means so much to them.

Isn't this the site that lets you help out micro businesses?

I've looked through that before. Its a very cool idea. I'm just concerned about fraud.

I believe it's screened by the organizations (field partners) that put in the info for each person. So far I've had good results. They do have a 98.04% repayment rate. Pretty good.

do they do a straight repayment or is there a percentage rate you get as well?

I believe its straight repayment with no interest. Most borrows get from a few hundred to a thousand dollars. I might put $25 into the pot for someone that wants $500 and others contribute too until they reach their funding goal. I spread my risk around and feel great about helping people.

The nice thing is that once that $25 is repaid I can loan it out again. It never ends.

Do you ever get any kind of 'updates' or anything? something to show you how things are going along?

Always. When you go to your Portfolio you can see the rate of payback for each person you loaned to.

I mean more along the lines of how the business itself is going along? Can you contact the people themselves or is it just a financial thing
