Yeah, its pretty sad because there are legitimate ways to earn money online that most stay at homes or newly unemployed could actually do, but most will be scared off because of scammers like this.

I think the article does have a point about those "As Seen on CNN" ads... i mean, c'mon... that's walking a thin line in my book of ethics.

Those *********s are the reason that we are all going to face some real high level scrutiny pretty soon, too. If people would just normalize to the realization that making good money takes time, effort, and the ability to work a business and produce a valuable product - and do it instead of following or making scammed up steal a buck crap, we could pretty muchly have the Gov leaving us the hell alone..........but noooooooooo, got to have that $mil in the door right NOW no matter what and really don't FEEL like getting out of bed to do it. ARGH - I'm going to stop right there, but you get the drift of my feelings about these crap eating/dishing unethical, egomaniacle, irresponsible, conglomerations of garbage wrapped in skin and the drooling idiots that get sucked into their little get rich with no effort schemes and scams. |

A job pays you. When someone calls you up and offers you a "job," you may need to interview, you may need to be selected, and you may need to go into an office. But you will NEVER need to pull cash out of your pocket. If you're pulling cash out of your pocket, this is not a job. It may be a legitimate business - but it's not a job. And businesses overwhelmingly fail. So when you pull cash out of your pocket for a "job" (which is really a business), don't pull out any more than you can afford to flush down the toilet - and expect to get about as much benefit. And yes, this goes for IM products as well. If you can't flush $77 down the toilet and be okay with that, don't buy the $77 course on AdSense no matter how many people make money with it. You will avoid more bad investments than you miss good ones.

Oprah just announced her retirement - maybe that puts a limit on the "as seen on Oprah" scams..... This same thing happens in many businesses. Knockoffs watchs, fake designer purses and shoes....there are a lot of crooks out there and they aren't all in IM. kay |

The success of Oprah still boggles my mind. Every single day, by the time she sits down for lunch, she has made around $400,000.

I swear the scamsters will put us legitimate online marketers out of business one day. So many people accross the globe are receiving so much junk and scam ideas they are just not trusting anymore and who can blame them. I have been dupped by these scamsters before and it took me along time before I trusted anyone online again! Fair play to the sites that are highlighting these scams and making them known. Thanks! |

| Yeah, but i'd guess there are a lot more of them in IM than other places. IM scammers have the advantage of being able to point to YOU as the reason the cheesy product they just sold you didnt work.

You have to use your nug. Look for testimonials from people you know and trust. Send them an IM and ask pointed questions. If they truly are advocates of something, they'll give you thorough responses. If they give brief answers, dodge most of your questions and conveniently have an aff link, keep shopping. Also read the most recent comments on WSO's. Most start off "woohoo this is totally awesome I can't believe you're, etc." and then 3 pages back you get "Hey has any seen Fred? I paid 4 days ago, sent him an email, IM'd him and nothing."

This problem is fed by our instant society. I want it now...push a button...get it. People who are raised on "fast food" microwave ovens and broad band connections, forget that it takes time for a tree to grow. Five years for an orange tree to produce fruit here in Florida. Then you can pick the fruit and make money by selling it. |
