Okay this is a slightly drunken Friday night thread but I have to wonder how many people are closet internet marketers? Have you ever thought that the person next to you in a bar has a website with 400 unique visitors a day and is currently drinking the profits?

I was in a bar tonight with my husband and one of his ex work colleagues. While they discussed their industry my eyes glazed over....but somehow the conversation turned to the internet and the next thing the work colleague and I are discussing backlinks, adsense and affiliate programs. I'm so excited to actually know a real life person who understands what I'm talking about!!!

Just goes to show you never know what the person you're drinking next to gets up to in the privacy of their own home

Based on the clientele of my neighborhood bar, not knowing somehow comforts me.

When i first started where I was working, while in training, i started a conversation with a guy next to me about safelists. We were both flabbergasted that someone else in this place knew anything about a safelist, let alone actually owned/ran one. Turns out he is a wf member too.
