Ever feel that your niche is full of people that want to grab freebies but won't even bother to fill in an email address for a CPA offer? Probably my fault, but that's how it seems sometimes in one niche.

Yes. I've had some old pros teach me that there's no way an entire niche sample (your contact within a niche), can be generalized as tire kickers, if that niche is indeed an existing consumer-driven industry. I've found that there are 2 major elements which dictate an abnormal rate of tightwads: 1) Your funnel (which segment your attracting) and/or your offer, fail. 2) The niche is particularly affected by the recession, and historical successes within that particular micro market were dependent on seasons of greater disposable income. |

I created a site around a year ago that is getting very good traffic in relation to the promotional effort, but was getting few sales. Of course, it may be that my sales page sucks, but I recently added an Adsense banner to the top of the sales page and am earning more from that than sales. I think I am mostly getting freebie seekers. There is an opt-in to get a small sample of the product on sale but few are going for that. |

Sometimes you just have to accept that the "tire-kickers" are just waiting for the offer they can't refuse. My main niche is loaded down with tire-kickers. But.......we just keep putting in new offers and find what, here and there actually gets them to open a wallet. And they do......it just takes time and serious effort. If you love the niche....keep working it and you'll find the wallet zone. Every niche has one.....sometimes it will surprise you what eventually actually does the trick.

I don't waste my time with tire kickers. Instead of begging them to optin for a freebie, weed the freeloaders out right away with a promo page charging something nominal like $3-$7 for an original, perceived high value report related to your niche, and which is available nowhere else. Once people buy from you the first time, no matter what the amount, a very high percentage of them will buy again for your backend offers or CPA. A list of proven buyers can be developed and worked in just about any niche.

Some people refuse to buy anything off the net. I know a lot of ppl who would never buy anything from any site no matter the price or what it was. I guess they don't trust security or are afraid of someone getting their credit card number.
