Write a poem in one minute

Thought this could be a funny thing to do.

I want you to write a poem in one minute (not that you have to use a stop watch, but just stop when you feel one minute has passed).

Don't think. Just write whatever you think of, feel or whatever in one minute. Let the words stream out. Write.

Don't edit afterwards, just post it in this thread.

Start now.

I don't have a clue why, but here is what came out of my head in one minute:

Moon talks to the blindfold,
hundreds will know,
it is all a part of the plan,
to make the obsolete silence
speak back in anger.

I don't ever wanna play the part of a statistic of a government chart
there has to be an invisible sun
that gives us hope when the day is done
I face the day with my head caved in
lookin like something the cat dragged in
they would kill me for a cigarette
there has to be an invisible sun

    There once was a page
he used to read in his cage

many stories on raising his wage
told the boss but he turned in rage

so he left and became a mage

I look for a reason to live
Never understood what my purpose lies in this hive
    Still trudging the unknown road
May be Life just is a bitchy abode
Now I try not to think
But, it never rains when I want so I try to link

    Seriously this is so funny
My thoughts flow sometimes feeling uncanny
What the heck, I always summon to write
And at the end no one really makes any sense to strike

    There is beauty in knowing
that in the eyes of the world.
A stranger is waiting seldom seen an unheard.

    There depths within madness
    only a beast can know
    and love in a heartache
    and blood on the snow.

    Don't drift when your lonely
    It only leads to confusion
    follow the straight line
    and live the illusion.

    This is fun.

I generally write sonnets. You can't do 14 lines of iambic pentameter in under a minute.

Although I've been known to do them in 20 minutes... which totally freaks out other poets, many of whom think writing a sonnet at all is well nigh impossible.

Here is my poem, i guess it's alright
Instead of writing here's what I'm doing tonight
My girlfriend will visit, i'm sure we'll have fun
I wish it wasn't raining, i'd be out in the sun

It's far to cool, up here in the north
I should be on a beach wearing just shorts.
If my next launch does well, we'll see what then.
Until i'm done have a good one my friends!

Okay, this took about two minutes ... can you tell which news story I just finished reading?

The Woodsman hit a hydrant, then he tumbled into a tree,
Few of the neighbours heard it, few came out to see.

But the Woodsman's wife was quick with the iron, to set the Woodsman free,
At least, that's the excuse for finding him, laid out with blood on his teeth.

The news and the cops want to question him, about the incident,
About the cause of the accident, about his wife's intent.

Will the truth ever be revealled to us, we who desire to know?
Or will the Woodsman forever hold his peace, for the sake of the ongoing show?

I'm a little tired, of working for someone else
I doubt things will be much different,
When I work for no one else.

For unattainable dreams are the best kind
It's what pushes us to unattainable, higher places.

Being uncomfortable means I can make change,
Being comfortable means I have settled.

It's funny how we strive for the best comfort zones...
Only to find another zone of discomfort.

But that's the fun of life.

For the best comfort zone is in the presence of
    my Lord God.

      It's late in the evening,
      and I need a burger,
      the decay of a generation,
      down my throath,
      my heart is not
      a beat poet,
      ginsberg, gone,
      soon burger gone too,
      cool pepsi,
      polar circle not far away,
still I feel I just ate America,
      I need a burger.
      And evil is just
      something bad
      on a larger scale.

Write a poem in a minute?
I sure could have done it
if it were not for this habit
of looking out the window for a rabbit.

Down the hole the rabbits go,
should I stay or should I go,
          one minute in poet time,
          time enough for things sublime.
