The poll is for the BCS title game only, but I'll throw in the other four BCS bowls in there for you guys to choose from with just a list:

Rose: Ohio State vs. Oregon
Sugar: Florida vs. Cincinnati
Fiesta: TCU vs. Boise State
Orange: Georgia Tech vs. Iowa

So who wins each game? My picks:

Alabama
Oregon
Florida
TCU
Georgia Tech

The way Alabama dispatched Florida, I'm forced into going with Bama as the future national champs.

I hope Bama wins. I'll take Oregon in the Rose Bowl. I think Boise State will win and I hope Cincy beats Flordia.

Anyone got any more votes? The title game is still weeks away but bowl season starts tomorrow.

But here is my thing with the title game - Texas has the psychological advantage over Alabama. For a number of reasons:

    1. Alabama has NEVER beaten Texas. Period.
    2. The last four Heisman winners have been on the losing team in the bowl game.
    3. Alabama has never won a BCS bowl. They've only been in two - 2000 Orange Bowl against Michigan and 2009 Sugar Bowl against Utah.
    4. The above reason leaves you to think this - if Alabama couldn't beat a non BCS team in the Sugar Bowl last year, how do they expect to win in the BCS title game against a BCS power?

Despite all the psychological advantages Texas has, I still think Alabama will take it.

That Utah wasn't a BCS school and beat Alabama is relevant. They were a damn good team last year, obviously. All this BCS conference, non-BCS conferences stuff doesn't matter if you're that good, and they were. They could have beat a lot of the teams from BCS conferences, easily. Also, in college football, one year can be huge, as evidenced by Utah this year. They lost a lot of Seniors so they're not as good. Likewise, with Alabama, the experience they learned last year and with not too many players graduating means they are better. Last years means zilch. Also, while it's true Alabama has played Texas 8 times and never won, the last time they played was in 1981. What does that mean to these players, now? None of them were even born yet, so it means zilch, again. As for the Heisman stat, just another stat that means nothing.

I think Alabama will win, as do you, apparently. Ha ha.
