When I was around 4 or 5 my Mom took me to see Psycho. Not sure if it was the first, but it was the first I remember. Mom was worried it would give me nightmares, but I really liked it - it wasn't as scary to me as some episodes of the Twilight Zone. She, on the other hand, had a problem going into the root cellar room in our basement for quite some time after that show.

Outside of heysal, everyone mentioned movies that came out quite a while after I was born.

God, I have NO idea which was the first. I remember seeing the great waldo pepper at grauman's chinese, the astronomic light show at griffith park, and my first invitation only event was metropolis. But those happened long after I was born.

Can't remember the first but it would have been in Tripoli, Libya circa 1954-1955 (back when everyone was friendlier!).

Lived in downtown Tripoli and the theater was British owned. Recall having to stand prior to movie being shown while music (I recall Hail to the Queen but might be wrong) was played.

Then the Suez canal trouble started and the military moved all Americans onto Wheelus Air Force Base...then went every Saturday to see Hi' Oh' Silver...The Lone Ranger Rides again!

The first I can remember was Giant starring James Dean. I was about 6, sitting in the back seat with my little brother at a drive in. Not a cinema per se, but the first movie I remember being taken to.

Earliest I can "remember" was Disney's Fantasia.
If I recall correctly it was very effective at scaring the poot out of me.
Thirteen Ghosts was another good one."Mwwwaaahhhhhhh MwaAHHHHHHH" :O
My older brother milked that one for some time.Turning out the basement lights on me added some fun to my memories.
in addition to being locked in a closet(several times) and the getting rolled up in a carpet too.
I think he may have been first to perform water boarding.Ended up be a policeman.

We also had a 'root' cellar where my mom keep mason jars of some very weird 'stuff'.
My dad would love eating it. I refused to so, spent many nights sleeping at the dining table.
We had to eat everything on our plate due to the starving kids in Africa at the time.
