Anyone know who sings this 80's song???

I can usually find any song on google or youtube....but not this one

Unfortunately I don't know the tittle or the artists....I thought it was by a band called y&t but I'm not sure it is

Here's some of the lyrics....remember it's from around the mid 80's

verse:

chorus:

I don't recognize the rest of the lyrics, but something about a few words in the chorus caught my eye. There's a song from 1985 that has:

Forget about the worries on your mind
You can leave them all behind

as part of the chorus.

I know it's not exactly what you wrote but it's worth a shot.

I remember that song but it's not the one I'm looking for

The song I'm lookin for was popular on MTV for a while around the time of Don Henley's "Boys of Summer"

It has almost the same "feel" as Henley's song

Hi Dale,

This is off the top of my head, but I think Y&T (short for Yesterday & Today) had a song called Summertime Girls. I know 'summertime' is definitely part of the title.

Now...to do some digging. Be right back.

Okay, Y&T did have a song called "Summertime Girls", unfortuantely, the lyrics don't match.

Yea, I remember. Y&T also had a good one called "Keep on Runnin" I used to play drums to that song at high school parties.

Now...to do some digging. Be right back.

I tried googling the lyrics above (in the first post) quotes and broad. It didn't come up with anything.

I'm not sure those are the exact lyrics but they're close.

Only Jenny song I can think of from the 80s is Jenny 8675309 by Tommy Tutone. But, I those lyrics don't ring a bell.

I found the post again by googling the lyrics, I still "Lurk" around here in the basement every now and then

Yea, it's cheesy, I'll give you that. Like I said above there's just certain harmonies I like. Like the backing vocals on "The Otherside" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers (especially near the end). Van Halen's backing vocals. The harmonies on "Walk away Renee" sung by the Four Tops.

Pete, just out of curiousity, what's your musical preference???

  Hello again I just got to say that I heard "Summer Sum" in the radio, I searched about the band and their music. One day I "google" the lyrics and got to this forum. I created an acount that moment because someone deserved to have an answer! Today I remembered the song, and here I am again in the forum.
