I just came across this hilarious email chain between a design agency and a 'potential' client. I'm in the client services / web design industry too, and can sympathize with this bloke, and the way he handles the situation is absolutely awesome

I wish I could speak to people like this (but I think my boss would have me for breakfast if I did!)

LMAO -- best laugh I've had in awhile. Wonder if he got paid.

Amusingly, my mother printed this out for me Monday morning. So I'm sitting here thinking "what exactly made this rather undistinguished example of a fictitious email chain between contractor and client go viral?" - because honestly, I've seen better. Why is this one tremendously popular this week, while others languish in obscurity?

I saw this on Stumbleupon, and barely cracked a smile. Maybe because I could relate. Whether it's a legitimate exchange or not doesn't matter all that much to me.

My guess is its popularity is due to social bookmarking. Perhaps a campaign started by the author. Also, never underestimate the power of the lowest common denmoinator.

      All the best,
      Michael
