What steps are generally taken by governments to control the inflation?

    Here's the funny part - when inflation occurs, people who don't understand how the economy works demand that the gov't increase the minimum wage. The government eventually gives in. The minimum wage goes up, and since everyone's now making at least $10 - the price of goods goes up to compensate and the inflation increases.
