...And today is that day.

Ever notice how if you're having a crappy day, you can play with puppies, or even just look at pictures of puppies and smile?

This has been an official Puppy Day announcement.

Awe. . .that is so adorable! Funny thing is it actually did make me smile which is rare these days. Can we make it the official puppy and kitten day too, haha? Kitty's are too cute no matter what the age. Anyway, thank you for cheering me up!

Awww, so cute! That makes me want to go get a puppy. Some women have a biological clock -- mine apparently only "ticks" for puppies.

Puppies are so cute when they're small like that. However, I also get a smile when they get into that awkward "teenager stage." Attached is a pic of my boy Simon (R.I.P.) when he was half grown. Looking at the pic always makes me laugh because he was all ears, tongue and legs -- an awkward, growing boy.

      cheers,
      Becky

My buddy had two big rotties that were inside dogs. most loving dogs in the world and they were funny as hell to watch. One was named Odin, one named Thor. You could look in Odin's eyes and see that he knew stuff, he was sharp. Thor on the other hand was a big lug. Thick muscled and a big ol biscuit head on him and when you looked in his eyes, the first thing that came to mind was 'duh'. But he was an awesome wrestling buddy and if you were looking for someone to get into trouble with..he was your man...er...dog. When he was in his 'awkward' stage, he was all legs and i watched him one day and thought i'd die laughing.

Thor was walking through through the living room and the phone was by the doorway on a table. This was still a corded phone and it had a big long cord on it. As he walked through the cord sort of hooked his hip and he didnt notice. After a couple more steps the he notices the cord and turns around like 'hey..something's on me!', and as he turns around faster it pulls the phone over and it was one of the old dialups with a bell in it so it hit and made a hell of a noise. The look on his face was something like 'holy crap what was that..its time to go' so he took off into the kitchen with the cord wrapped around him and the faster he runs, the faster and closer the phone gets still making all that racket, which scares him and makes him run faster, which makes the phone make more noise and catch up to him quicker.

I laughed so hard i just about fell out of my chair. I miss those two. good dogs.
