RIP Paul Newman

This is one sad curtain call. I grew up watching this guy - what a heart throb for America's women. IF you are too young to remember this actor, rent a copy of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Newman was the best of the best.

    From a time long ago when "acting" made a movie good not EFX.

    I think I'll eat 3 dozen hard boiled eggs in his honor and rent Cool Hand Luke.

    Wow, I had not heard this. Honestly Paul Newman was well past his Hollywood superstardom levels when I started watching and caring about movies or their actors. So really he had little impact on me, although I did really like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I guess I'll have to pop in Cars and give that a watch tonight.

    Wow! Sal, you beat me to it. Just came back from Shul, and the world changed! He will be sorely missed. I was looking forward to the reunion movie with him and Robert Redford. I remember him in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, watching it in the theaters when I was a kid. I thought it was (and still is) one of the best movies ever made. The Sting.....Newman and Redford played off each other so well! Awesome soundtrack, too!

    One of the things that I admired about him was that he had one of the longest marriages in Hollywood. A wonderful human being, as well as a skilled artisan.

    A major loss for us all.
