Are You Being Brainwashed? Evidence Shows Shocking Discoveries...

It may be possible you are being brainwashed (and influenced subconciously) by your TV. Many people know that you can be influenced subconciously with subliminal ads. I guess they don't call it "tv" programming for nothing...

Some claim they are not effective, while others claim they are effective. One thing is for sure, big corporations, possibly even governments, use these subliminal ads- and if they weren't proven to work, would they keep running them?

Check out some revealing videos below and decide for yourself...

It is powerfully effective, more than one might think. Images, no matter how brief, can evoke emotions. The most effective ads are subtle. If the viewers know you are trying to make them buy, they will resent the ad and dismiss the message. In order to be effective, the ad must present a dual message: one that is consciously understood and presents a socially acceptable theme, and another that resonates with powerful secret, emotions and motivations the viewer remains unaware of.

      That's correct.

I never said the idea of subliminal advertising is new. Its been around for decades.

And there are new subliminal messages being directed at us everyday. If you realize this, then good. Not everyone does. Some people think subliminal advertising is not real and possibly even a "conspiracy theory".

Also, not everyone is aware of the ads that I posted. So to some this may be new, although the concept has been around for a long while. I've spoken with many individuals, and some on this forum, that don't believe subliminal messages are being used to persuade them. This is to show that companies do use these strategies to persuade its consumers and it can work.

    Subliminal messages are everywhere.

Anyone remember the 1980's John Carpenter film 'They Live'? Imagine you found a special pair of glasses that allowed you to see the world as it truly is, with all the subliminal messages exposed (around 90mins):

      One of my favorite movies.
Product placement in movies is another way of doing it also.

What should I be looking for?

I did see a sign that said "Marry and Reproduce"- is that it?

The black-and-white scenes (with the subliminals exposed) are the ones the main character sees when he wears the special glasses. In the colour scenes, he sees just a normal picture (such as a sexy woman, juicy burger, expensive car, etc).

            Ahh I understand now...

Did you notice at the end the "Marry And Reproduce" subliminal?

At 1:30:28- while the blonde girl is having sex- to the right the message on the wall says "Marry And Reproduce".

            Thought that was interesting...

Subliminal messages were at one time a hot topic - hot enough that there was legislation to stop them.....and most people assumed that the legislation passed. It did not.

So if you are watching your favorite episodes of Family guy and suddenly get urges to kill your spouse...er....well, that's normal - but if you suddenly get a craving for fast food or to kiss your local legislator or any other unrelated feelings or cravings, you might want to turn off the TV and read a book instead.

For what it's worth... here's my two cents...

Never mind the subliminal advertising that is going on with tv these days. All you need to do is take a look at all the other images that are bombarding us.

I am always suprised to find that networks will edit things out of movies for the viewer, though make the news as graphic as you can imagine.

Watching the twin towers over and over again was not Hollywood.

And that stuff sticks in your subconscious, whether you like it or not.

"Not mine", I hear you say... Yes, yours too! Your mind doesn't know the difference and doesn't really care either!

As for the subliminal messages... well I guess if you think all the graphic detail on the news doesn't get into your subconscious, then what have you got to worry about? It's the same isn't it?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they should get rid of all the graphic detail on tv. In fact, I think it is a great thing to show absolutely everything they possibly can because we always LOOK AWAY or TURN THE TV OFF!

I don't know about you, but I'd rather make that choice myslef!

As for the Ads... any marketing advantage has to be good if you are the one that came up with it!

You're right VIP- the news and TV shows in general can all shape ones emotions and behaviors. Subliminal advertising is just a sneaky way to get your product to enter ones mind, with out them realizing it...

I more worry about the abilities to brainwash via cell phone. Hear a sound and react to it - just like hypnotism. People don't realize they are addicted to these things but watch someone foam at the mouth if they don't have it with them and are disconnected for a couple of hours. I have almost been hit walking my dog twice just this week because of drivers on cellphones - one was so mesmerized I don't even think he realized he almost hit me. I hear people talking about owning 3 or 4 cell phones.

There are all sorts of mind control device patents for cell phones -
Wave manipulation and audio subliminals. Put those together and
you have some pretty powerfully dangerous control.

They are also tracking devices. They are also finally admitting to the health hazzards. People don't use these as tools any more -- they are addicted to them and it may be a good question for people to start wondering why.

Cell phones to me are more frightening than anything they do to us via television.

They Live rocks! Thought he'd never get his mate to wear those damn glasses (wasn't that the longest fight on film?)

Have a look at this Derren Brown clip where he turns the tables on the Advertising Executives and plants subliminals in their minds for a change. Shows you how it was done at the end. Scary how easily we are 'influenced'.

I'll have to agree with Bendiggs - Derren Brown is Ninja.

Language is also potent - NLP especially - have a look at him influencing Simon Peggs mind. Again, he shows how it's done at the end. That would be quite a useful trick to learn methinks.

Derren Brown is always fun to watch. They say he uses hypnosis, NLP, and other psychological techniques.

      Definitely good showmanship.

Carpenter took a cynical swipe at the mass media, government influences, and social attitudes that shaped the excesses of the 80's.

At 1:30 the main character had managed to disable the aliens signal transmitter so now everyone could see both the subliminal messages and also the aliens in their true form.

    An impressive cult classic.
