Question for the music/guitar buffs here

Can't help but notice how many music enthusiasts hang out here, so I thought I'd give this one a shot...

I have a daughter turning 13 in 2 weeks...she's been into guitar a bit in the past - nothing too heavy, just a few lessons here and there.

I've just had the following item fall into my lap: (sorry if the description is poor, but its a cut and paste)

"Gibson Epiphone electric guitar with lifetime warranty. It's an LPJR single cut autographed by Alice Cooper"

Tried asking Google, but really couldn't get much information other than the fact that the Epiphone is kind of a remake of an older style guitar? No clue what the LPJR thing is, or whether or not the Alice Cooper autograph is a big deal?

Wasn't sure if this was the kind of thing I should give to her to 'use' , or more of a collectors thing?

For all I know its just a $199 mass production stamped autographed item? Or is this thing actually worth something?

It's an Epiphone Les Paul Jr.

Epiphone is the Chevrolet to Gibson's Cadillac.

Here's more info from Guitar Center:

Not a great guitar, but the sig has collector value. To me, Alice Cooper is divinity.

Of course, it's also a Les Paul, and I'm a Strat guy... so it's kind of like Alice Cooper's used toilet paper.
