New Member in the New Year!

Hey everyone, just thought I'd take a second to say hi. Matt R. from Madison, WI here... I'm pretty brand-spankin' new to IM, though I've been doing a lot of research on it. This site is one of the few that is consistently referenced by most every successful IM-er I've seen, so it was a no-brainer to stop by and sign up!

And, after a quick look around, I can see that I'm going to have a lot of midnight reading playing catch up to everyone!

My basic goals (business plan, so to speak) are to supplement my current income (which is not too shabby, actually) so that I can pay off my house that much sooner and actually set some money aside to help my girls get through college without having to have them join the Army like I had to. Not that I'm complaining too much about the 6 years I served, mind you... I did get to learn Russian and German out of it, and spent most of those living in Germany.

Sorry for the verbosity... just in a rambling mood! Anyway, here's to a successful new year for everyone, and if anyone's ever in the Madison area, let me know.

          Thank you all for the warm welcome! I am actually going to be testing some of the things I've been reading and viewing over the last couple of weeks starting this week, as I go to Chicago for work. I should have evenings free, which will give me the time I need to focus on my 'test cases'... I hope so, in any case.

          At the very least, at the end of the week, I should have my ITIL v3 Foundation certification under my belt... which has nothing to do with IM, but everything to do with my day job.
