Unsolicited Critiques

I have this guy who keeps e-mailing me about my sites. He keeps telling me that my sites are awful and that he would never use my business....

Does anybody else get these unsolicited critiques? Do you respond? At first I thought he was just being cheeky so I wrote a funny response back. I didn't mean to bait him more... now I am getting constant riots from this guy.

I guess some people have nothing better to do....

      I was searching for a content writer when I came across your website. I was so happy to see someone specializing in content. Then I started reading your website. You have some of the most poorly written content filled with so many errors on every page! How is this possible? You should consider hiring an editor to review your work!

      After that I decided not to reply anymore....but now my inbox is being filled with short pithy comments like, "your retarded" or "what? you don't want to listen to me anymore?" etc

      The worst part is, he probably came through adwords so I actually paid google for this love, lol.

    Or.. just put him in your block list.


    What I cant figure out is why someone would go out of their way to harass you. If you've made any enemys who are aware of your website, I would expect its one of them.

    If you block the email, and start getting another batch of "Rogue Critique" then thats likely whats going on.

      I certainly hope it is just a guy who's bored...

      I don't think I make enemies... part of why I can have an e-mail address with my real name instead of something bogus like him.

      Some people just like to be jerky.

      I like your CPA idea but I won't go that far. Just mark him as spam and move on...

      I was just curious if other people had this problem. I know copywriters get critiqued all the time in the copywriting forum for their sites but come on.. I'm a lowly content writer. I bet 95% of my clients don't even read my samples or articles....

        Good :p Save that one for someone who *really* deserves it. Depending on the merchant (and if its just an email submit its usually pretty low quality) thats a great way to drive an inbox into spam oblivion.

        Geeze, now I'm thinking I shouldnt have even published that idea :p
