I need some tips about Windows 7 about his requirement or his procesing speed.

Thank you!

If you mean how fast the OS is, I have not tried it but almost everyoine I knkow that has claims it is faster and more robust than XP.

I give it a thumbs down

Yes maybe its faster but to be honest i have xp on my other computer and tweaked it.

      Its just as fast.

My opinion windows 7 ultimate is still very buggy and crashes alot for me.

I use visual basics and web designing software and it crashes my windows 7.

I guess there still working the bugs out.

1 thing i will say is their firewall is not as cheesy as the xp but all in all still cheesy.

Its funny. I read an article about windows 7 claiming that there trying to step in the direction of linux as far as security goes.

Well i think they have a long way to go.

I'm with Vista - got a new compy last year and will wait for my warranty to run out before I install Windows 7 - plus, it's always my opinion that you should let new things fester for a while so you aren't the guinea pig Sit on it for a few months and you will have a much clearer picture.

Im using windows 7 ulti and it rocks for me...very stable, fast, workflow is much much better then XP or Vista without having to add app launchers and stuff like that.

I still like OS X better but windows is getting very close.

I haven't used it yet but I've read where people that upgraded to it had major problems
such as their system being stuck in boot up mode and never coming out of it.

If you do install it, do the full install. Do Not do an Upgrade. The Upgrade is what
    caused so many people problems.

    Hope that Helps,
    Have a Great Day!

Hi, I recently updated a new computer from Vista to 7. Of course I waited until MS ironed out the boot-up problems. And I must say that I love it. I haven't had a problem w/ it. I still like XP the best, of course I haven't had this one long enough to really test it, but I've had several programs running on it at the same time, including photoshop, premiere cs4, and camtasia without a hitch.

But anything is better than Vista! That one should be burried in a hole w/ Windows ME. (I almost said that it should be burried in a hole w/ ME lol)

Thumbs up for windows 7 ultimate. I have been using it for months now and it perfectly works well with me. At first, you'll be uncomfortable but a week of continuous usage will help you at ease to navigate the program.

I run it now on my main PC

It use about 1GB of RAM when idle and up to 3.5GB RAM when in use(but I'm heavy user)
My procesor is I5 @ 3.2ghz and he is more that enough for the windows and all the things going on

Windows 7 is great I like them very much and comparing to vista which I have for half a day and go back to XP is like BMW to KIA

    So go on for it

I've been running win7 ultimus since the middle of December and its been ok for me. Note I did not upgrade, but purchased the system with it already installed. Took a bit of getting use to since I went from XP Pro to Win7 - never used Vista.

The only install program I've had a problem with is for my older printer - can't get it to install, but everything else so far has installed. Typically as an x86 program rather than a 64bit. I just downloaded a virtual image of XP from Mircosoft today to run XP software, but haven't had a chance to try it.

I've heard upgrading can be a pain so be careful and make sure you have backups.

    best,

I have put Windows 7 64bit Ultimate on all of my PCs. My old laptop even runs better with it than it did with Vista. I would recommend everyone get rid of vista and get 7. There are tons of improvements over vista. So yes, I think you should go for it.

I have tried Windows 7 Ultimate, it differs to Home Premium and Professional in that there is the addition of a backup system files option and create system repair disc and some other tool that I forgot.
Fairly fast, at first glance looks pretty similar to Vista, but has some pretty sweet features such as the toolbar which allows for slideable icons.

I also use the "Sticky Notes" program which allows users to add a lot of notes onto their desktops and it can be opened again without saving for the next time you log on.

All in all a smooth experience.. I can't remember it crashing once, probably slightly better than Vista in terms of load up and processing speed, but I think XP Pros SP3 still remains as one of the fastest and reliable OS there is.

I'm a Windows 7 Ultimate user and it's the best OS I've ever used. I have a Mac and I've used every operating system since 95. The performance on W7 Is great and the whole OS Experience is fantastic.

I personally love the snap shot feature, it's probably my favourite thing out of the whole OS. The thing about Windows 7 is; it hardly ever CRASHES, I mean I've left my computer on for 2 weeks straight sometimes and it just doesn't crash or slow down.

Overall I rate the OS 9/10

If I was you I'd definitely upgrade from Windows XP or Vista.

I would definitely upgrade from Vista to Ultimate...
but maybe not from XP depending on your needs. Gamers should probably stick with XP for now and upgrade once a lot of direct x 10 and 11 games are out.

If you're just using for internet marketing, Windows 7 Ultimate will be better for sure.

edit: oh i realised there is quite a few of directx 10 games already out

Windows 7 Ultimate is really great! I highly recommend it. It's really quick especially when switching between different applications. It also has a really great feature that allows you to "knock" a minimized window to the left or right creating side by side windows. I find that feature super handy. If I was you I would definately switch.
