Have you guys heard of the movie titled " The Secret " ? Where they discuss the " Law of attraction "

To the ones who have seen or know about it, do you think theres any truth in it? =)

    Well I'm not going to get into it too much.

    But it seems obviously true that if are a grump who hates life and is negative all the time, that you won't attract things into your life like friends or people.

      Wow - Hi Sherwin. So I see they left the door open in the Mind forum again? Tsk. This is the bar. Yes we have all heard of the Secret - pull up a stool and crack a beer. Now because you are talking to the drunks and high ons of the forum, many of the lushes in here are going to tell you about laws of attraction you will never hear about in other parts of the forums - these guys are real into boobs around here.

      Now - not all are that loaded all the time - but you will get interruptions in the flow here and again - so try not to get your wavelengths any too ruffled or it will screw up what you are drawing...uh...trust me on that one.

      Now the law of attraction (Dave quit giggling this is serious) -- deals with the fact that everything which appears solid is merely just a density of waves - and all waves are interconnected. (Except for Kevin Riley who is probably the only entity in the Universe dense enough to actually consist of a real bonafied solid, but then that's something that even baffles Hawkings).

      Now, close your eyes a minute and see - don't think about but see a light bulb. Pull the chain and turn it to red. See now - you might only see that light in your head, but the very act of actually seeing it has brought it into creation red wavelengths. So once you have mastered red and blue waves, then you need to be able to get whole architectures of waves going in there that you can actually coalesce into pictures (or holographs, if you will) of what you really want --- Uh...my asti is getting empty..anyone got a fill?

      Once your can create these visions completely enough they will develop the same illusional distinction as anything else you consider "real" in this world.
      To be able to solidify a vision with this much intensity takes a foaming obssession (hey, I'm having a problem spelling, someone got an eraser?) and to get that foaming obsession means that you must FOCUS. To focus means to put every bit of attention and action you have into producing that illusion (called in IMeze "GOAL"). Once you have concentrated enough concentration on concentrating the necessary wavelegnths correctly - you get what you wanted.

    I have the book and the movie, both are as good as each other.
    I think there is a lot of truth in it but i don't think it can work with everything just certain things. It has certainly changed my way of thinking!

      depends on whether you "get it" or not. When your perspective changes strongly enough it can manifest the physical reality is the gist of it. It's basically a spiritual principle wrapped in a lot of quantum physics.
