Saw this over the weekend, pretty worrying (Its the first of its type in Dorset from what I understand)...

A paedophile protest in Dorset - Name and shame website. Child abuse, paedophiles, rapists, murder, knife crime.

    The irony of that article coming from the Daily Mail is that they should bear the lion's share of the responsibility for creating paranoia in the first place.

    Most people have no idea about crime statistics and data - why would they? - so when they read continual stories in the papers about abuse, they assume there must be a lot of abuse going on.

    It's easy to play on people's fears anyway (as any decent copywriter will tell you), but it's even easier to play on the fears of parents with young children.

    It's got to the point where parents don't allow their kids to play outside anymore, so they just sit at home playing computer game and watching telly. What a great life we're creating for our children...
