Static IP versus Dynamic IP

Hello again!
Someone has suggested to me that static IPs (broadband) can present security risks because you can be traced to your street address whereas a dynamic IP makes this more difficult. Is this true?

Also, I heard that if you were running an internet business and wanted to use several email addresses on your website (at your domain name) to be routed to one email address in outlook on your PC this was much more difficult with a dynamic IP.

Do I have any genuine cause for concern as far as unscrupulous people are concerned, if I choose a static IP for my broadband connection?
Can anyone advise - I'd be so grateful!
Thanks!
Lou Lou
