how to put video youtube in warrior forum??

Well I can't get it to work. Have tried pasting the URL into link box and image box but no success.
Sure wish basic html was permitted in the editor,.. similar to a Wordpress blog.

So I'm pasting link into link box like this

YouTube - Short Video Production Content...

and upon saving it just displays the link and not the video.

Any suggestions?

Hmm.. that's strange... it's magically appeared. But when I tried this edit on my WSO thread it didn't work. So maybe it only works on thread posts and not the first post??

Hi Russ

Check out under "Additional Options" section when you do the post editing, and make sure "utomatically embed media (requires automatic parsing of links in text to be on)." is checked.

I've been having this same problem for the last 2 weeks, myself. And yes, both of these are checked in advance mode:

Automatically parse links in text

Automatically embed media (requires automatic parsing of links in text to be on).

And yes, this is the url code, not the embed code.

Okay, let's try this one more time:

[EDIT] - Nope. Still not working for me.

I've never had this problem in any other forum.

Yes, if it doesn't work then you must not have the parse links box checked as I tried it just now in another forum and it worked for me. All you have to do is copy and paste the link into the Message box and Boom, there it is.

As mentioned in the previous post, the parse links box IS checked. Someone else just gave me another suggestion, though, so let me try this:

[EDIT] Bingo!!!! I was using the share link that Youtube was giving. You have to copy and paste the link in the browser bar, instead. As usual, the hardest of problems usually require the simplest of answers. Thanks, guys.

Ok. I thought I had figured it out. In one forum that I'm in it has worked fine, but then in another, it didn't work and just posted the link to youtube. I even had the parse links box checked as well as the all important "convert links to video" box checked in that forum and it didn't work. I don't get this at all. Oh well, I don't post that many videos anyway, but would like to know why it works sometimes and others not or in one forum and not another. Any ideas guys?

I just figured it out, myself, finally.

You have to copy and paste the link in the browser bar, not the share link.

Yeah, I have done this myself but there are also some vids in youtube which will not show up, only the link

Well, I know that for WSO you just paste your Youtube link and it is displayed fine.

My understanding is that it is only fixed size.
