Idea to make threads easier to read

Hi guys,

I'm not sure where else to drop this, so OT it goes...

Many of the threads on WF are getting painfully long because people are thanking members for their contribution. While this is great and commendable and the thanks are often in order, the "Thanks, this is a great post" tend to spread the threads span pages and pages longer than strictly would be necessary.

Howabout implementing a "Thank You" button in each thread. This would add a small emoticon under the root message, titled "These users have thanked for this post", and the name of the user who clicked the "Thank you" button.

I have seen this implemented on some other forums, and it works a treat. Shorter, more concise threads that are easier (and faster) to read.

Any support?

    Markus,

We have a "THANKS" button in the lower righthand corner of every post.

You don't, and won't see it until you have around 6 posts under your belt.

LOL... Thanks for that - (ahem) - still invisible to me, then. :-)

As you can see, it has done little to shorten the threads, although that was at least one of the intentions...lol.

You mean similar to how you got thanked for the OP in this thread??
