For anyone with a Citigroup checking account it may be time to look elsewhere, and to do it before April 1st (how ironic).

    Wow. Spooky.

Of course this is how paranoia works - they will cause what they fear. (and {therefore} it is not necessarily that their fears are unfounded)

Everybody spooked will make a run on the bank, emptying it out and leaving no funds available, making it necessary to freeze withdrawals.

So which bank can you trust? They say even just taking your money out and putting it in a safe deposit box would leave it safe and still accessible in a bank run (much safer than a fricking mattress).

Cracked me up in the comments on the story - 'First Bank of Mattress'.

p.s. hope this makes sense - i am so blistered/tired right now that I clicked your link and was reading the story thinking: wow I have to copy this link and post it in the OT. Clicked out of story. I am here. Oh, whoops whose on first?

    nite-nite!

Just buy bars of gold and keep in your hidden safe. Hyper-inflation is coming anyway so it makes good sense to do anyway! And mark my words...we will see hyperinflation
