I've been a MAC user for 5 years now BUT I need a PC testing machine - can any of you PC peeps recommend a brand been looking at the Sony Vaio range. money is not an issue just want the best brand for a PC which will probably take a hammering (not literally of course!).

Cheers J

    dell.

parts are parts when it comes to computer. an intel chip in a dell is no different than an intel chip in a sony. the difference is: when it breaks and it will, who is going to fix it

I've got a toshiba and sony and love the toshiba more. But like explained above, the difference in quality between brands isn't like it used to be.

Build your own, and although "parts are parts" is true, there's different ranges. Some companys are cheaper when it comes to what motherboards they put in.

The $100 motherboard in my computer is not the same as one in a regular dell lol. And Dell XPS guts arent the same as a walmart dell.

Buy an Intel Mac, then you just need to get either VMWare Fusion or Parallels Desktop (30 day free trial on both of those) and a copy of Windows...
