Who, in your mind, consistently puts out good Action Movie's to get your Macho Machismo juggernaut fix on?

So far, the most consistent, to me, the guys that says "we gonna kick some artery straining, non-clownin ,serious ass is :

Matt Damon with the Bourne Identity series and now Green Zone

Daniel Craig with James Bond

Thought Wesley Snipes after the 1st Blade was going to do it, but I think he peaked there and is probably going to be an occasional wonder here and there.

Liam Neeson- this guy sneaks up on you...when he does action movies, he takes no prisoners and is 2nd to none....he must practice swordfighting or fencing in his off time as a hobby. He simply does not put enough action films together in a row to be looked at like that.

There may be some others, but most of them have a cornball comedic element or Jackie Chan fake/dance choreography to their moves like The Transporter or Nicolas Cage action movies.

Gerard Butler could probably be more kick ass, but he is falling into the "comedy/slapstick-action roles when he does an action role.

Hey, I'm talkin about Action movies that when a guy rips out a bad guy's trachea pipe with a rusted car part from a junk yard, the scenes and movie make you say, " yeah, THAT could probably happen and I believe THIS character can seriously do it, whether in the alley or streets of a slum or professionally."

Actually, I would think that a real cop , street fighter or soldier in battle would not be that much of an action movie fan because they know day in and day out, it is , to some point, boring , investigative work that you simply want to be over with and get to the next day....something that HAD to be done....not as romantic, glamorous, gung-ho and macho fun like the movies , just simply a job to get a check with some measure of making a difference, but can easily burn out and get old quickly.

Anyone having bullets flying past them, blood pouring out of a slightly lacerated artery or bottles cracked on their face can attest its not as fun as the movies make it, if fun at all, and if you are smart, will NOT go for 2nd's unless its how you get a paycheck.

Too bad we try to make life tolerable and attempt to shape/define reality according to fiction and entertainment rather than making reality so livable that "fantasy", diversions FROM REALITY, like T.V., is not needed and unnecessary.

It's already been a few years, but I thought Gerard Butler Kicked some tail in 300.

He does not put out enough SERIOUS action flicks like 300 enough.

More TRANSPORTER /slapstick action, does not count , to me , to be in the Steve McQueen, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger , Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Douglas, Lee Marvin category.

      Not yet, sorry.

How about Dwayne Johnson? He's done some comical roles, but also a lot of serious whooparse roles as well:
