Firefox won't save my Bookmarks!

OFF TOPIC

I realise that this is not an Internet Marketing query, but it's really been bugging me and I can't seem to resolve it.

When I save a bookmark in Firefox (use 3.6, but it happened in all recent releases) is does not save. This has been going on for about 6 months now, and even the new release (3.6) does not solve the problem, so the problem must lie with some of my setting somewhere?

Has anyone else had this problem with Firefox and have you figured out how to solve it?

Completely uninstall it, reboot your computer and download the latest copy again. It may be windows

  If I uninstall Firefox and reinstall, will I lose all my contacts and bookmarks etc.

you can just export your bookmarks.

1. click bookmarks
2. click manage bookmarks
3. click on file and then on export
4. profit??

Hello all,
Lawrence here again.

I am still trying to get Firefox to allow me save Bookmarks. I uninstalled Firefox and loaded it on again, but no difference. I cleaned the Cache, but no difference.
I tried restoring my system...no differnce.

Still puzzled...

Hello John,
You could be right, however I have Firefox on my laptop as well and it seems to work ok. I have Vista on my laptop and XP on my desktop. Could be that Firefox and XP have some compatibility issues.
