Fleetwood Mac had 3 lead singers.

Which one was your favorite?

Here is a tune by each

Lindsey Buckingham

Christine McVie

Stevie Nicks

None of the above. Fleetwood Mac had another lead singer, and was a much better band IMO with Peter Green and before any of those above joined...(BTW, Peter Green was the founder of Fleetwood Mac, not Mick Fleetwood....)

YouTube - fleetwood mac oh well

YouTube - Fleetwood Mac "Shake Your Moneymaker"
Maybe so, but I was referring to the popular incarnation of the band that
      most people have heard of.

I agree, Peter Green was great but wasn't around very long.

And I was referring to the time when the band was good.

While it's your thread, why not include all of Fleetwood Mac? "Oh Well" was a fairly big hit.

Spot on Kurt and a lot of people don't know that they wrote Black Magic Woman. After they lost the three guitar sound they became just another silly pop group. It was a massive change from the blues for Mick and John, and Christine Perfect (later McVie) was a blues singer for Chicken Shack.

          They sold out.

I only know the first three singers as mentioned in the OP

and i'm a big fan of all three. I don't have a single fav,

so I vote for all three. One vote for each one listed.

Maybe in the US, but they had a huge number one hit in the UK in 1968 with this song, which stayed in the charts for 20 weeks - something that the Buckingham/Nicks incarnation never came close to:

Oh, hold on - you want vocals? Try this (also from '68):

      YouTube - hypnotized Fleetwood Mac
Yeah, there was Bob Welch too.

In fact, I loved the original Sentimental Lady.

I figured most people wouldn't have even heard of Green and Welch, a few
      at best.

Ultimately, given enough votes, the 3 I had listed probably would have
      gotten the most.

Personally, I never liked Stevie Nicks and thought Green and Welch
      were much better.

And, if you read my OP, I asked who was your favorite and not who you
      thought was the best.

I thought Green had the best voice but my favorite will always be Lindsey
for reasons that I can't really explain. Something about the way he sings
      just makes me smile.

Actually Oh Well was the first song I ever heard by Fleetwood Mac.
It was a staple song of the FM airwaves in the late 60s,early 70s.

It's impossible to choose. One of my favorite things about this band is that they have several strong lead singers who trade off on songs, and wonderfully rich harmony vocals. That worked for the Beatles. It's always been a great idea ever since.

Kurt, can I guess that you're also a fan of Journey until Greg Rolie left?

I'm not sure I see any distinction between the two.

I have a hard time picking a favorite, although I kind of lean towards Stevie so I voted for her. One thing I like about Fleetwood Mac is that they are very versatile, and each iteration of the band has been better at some things than others. Also, they put on an awesome live show.
