I love Queen. Absolutely adore them.

Freddy Mercury is such a charismatic front man,
but it's such a pity he left us too early.

Let's not forget Brian May's hypnotic guitar skills.

Legends!

A few of their songs:

Any Queen's fans out there?

Please come out to rock!

Big Queen fan. In my opinion, Freddie Mercuries lead vocals, the background
vocals and Brian May's guitar playing WAS Queen.

I'll try to dig up some of my favorite tunes and post them when I get a
    chance.

        Where do I start?
Many, many, years ago when I was more then a couple of bubbles off plumb, this song saved my life more then a few times.

This one is still like doing a shot of speed to me.

They have been showing just about all the major Queen concerts
and documentaries on the Sky Arts TV channels this last month
or so in the UK. PVR running at full capacity

It should be remembered that Bohemian Rhapsody almost
literally created the whole pop music video scene/market

Due to Freddie's vocal range, tribute performances by most
if not all other artists/performers have had to be rewritten
in different keys because they were unable to sing many
of the songs in Freddie's range. George Michael did a pretty
good near original version of some of them imho.

Sad loss .... but his music carries on....

I wanted to see what everybody else posted before I submitted my own.
I figured the popular stuff would already be covered and I didn't want to
just do the same old same old.

This is from Queen's first album, though this video is actually from a later
release. You can hear the original online if you want, but here you get to
see Freddie and the rest of the crew and I figured that was worth making
            the little substitution.

This song gives each member of the band a chance to shine, which is
actually rare for them...especially as you got into the more commercial
stage of their career. Most of their tunes essentially featured Freddie,
the background vocals and Brian May's guitar leads with drums and bass
pretty much in the background. But not here.

            From "Queen"

            "Liar"

      Yes, the background vocals!

Not forgetting the bassist John Deacon,
      and drummer Roger Taylor.

      Awesome group!

Someone HAD to post this one. Every song that has been posted above are all classics. This one is what they will ALWAYS be remembered for though.

If a vote was taken to determine the "best" song ever, this would probably be at number one. Yep, I reckon this would get more votes than "Stairway To Heaven".

I remember it came out just before Xmas in 1975, so by the time we all got back to school in early 76 (yes, I'm that old), this song was ALL that EVERYONE was talking about. Number one on the Aussie charts for about 8 weeks from memory.

    It needs no introduction.

YouTube - Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

This is THE song! THE song!

If I'm not wrong, it was voted the best song of the last century.

May be subjective. But there's no shadow of a doubt that
Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the best songs of ALL TIME!

    Where's the video?

That would probably be as much fun as this one.

And while we're at it, everyone loves the Muppets as well.

  • OMG flashback, can remember listening to whole albums (oops that dates me) with friend and ... oh, I guess I should not say the other thing we were doing ... and it was GGGRRRREEEEAAAATTTTT.
Love Queen, and so many of their songs rocked like no other band could. Guitar and melody and harmony and vocals combined in superior symphony. Still love to relive it. Queen rocks like no other.
