Zonealarm won't install so I'm looking for another option. Can anybody recommend a good anti-virus/firewall/spyware product?

Thanks

I've been very happy with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. You can buy a 3-computer license online for about $70 annually.

I think Kaspersky is good. Even though, I'm satisfied with Nod32 (ESET) because I'm used to it and do not want to change

I switched from Mcaffee to ESET and glad I did! ESET is very light, doesn't slow down your PC and give excellent protection at the same time

I used to work in a PC repair shop and we'd all swear by avg free. It's brilliant and it's free! on top of that I'd recommend downloading Cleanup 4.0, it's brilliant at cleaning up your hard drive. Mine got rid of about 1gb of tempory files and remnants of files and programs I'd deleted from my pc.

    Hope this helps

I used to own a repair shop. When people wanted a good anti virus, I would recommend what I did earlier in this post, Panda. But it was a paid version, so when someone asked for "free", then I would recommend AVG.

AVG is free .. PANDA is good ... but sometimes when it removes virus OS will get corrupt if the virus has affected your DLL files .. I have found Kaspersky very good among the many I used.

In my PC frustrated opinion the best anti-virus is a Mac.

But in the meantime I use AVG free and also nCleaner to clean up the junk.

    Hi,

I had a problem with ZoneAlarm on Win 7 - They seem to have fixed it now as the new one works. As for other software - I run AVG Free as a anti-virus.

I also have Ccleaner to keep my traces and recycle bin clean.... Truecrypt for general computer encryption and Glary Utilities to go after spyware.

    Cheers

any day my vote goes to kaspersky internet security 2010 . I have used Nod32,avg,etc but KIS2010 is the best for me. Its little resource intensive especially when you scan but it gives top notch protection. And in India you get a 3 pc license for just Rs 600(around $15) which makes it more better.

My vote goes to NOD32 or Kaspersky, you choose Although for the last 2 years I've been using NOD32 (it has more features, IMO) but it also takes more resources.

With one of those antivirus and some program like Ad-Aware (which is free) and CCleaner, you won't have to worry about your pc health

I would prefer to install Avira and running with CCleaner once a week to clear any registry and cache. But if you're using Windows OS , better get Microsoft Security Essential since it doesnt give much load to your PC or notebook.
