Do I count the times, I have done this. Spent money, followed the course, lost money and never had a hit.

What does it take to REALLY make money on line?

I have now taken a step back ............. had a cold hard look and have started again.

How many of you have done this? and how often?

I think many people go through this when they first start. They feel like they are giving a good effort but the results just aren't showing. They move on to something else before becoming good at the first.

My advice would be to just stick with one of the things you tried doing in the past and saw the most potential. Make it work. I think after you get past that first hurdle of actually believing the method can work, that's the key. This may be a day, week, or month after you start but it will give you a crazy boost of adrenaline and motivation to forge on and start making money.

Those first few hurdles are always the highest.

I literally had a dozen false starts in the first 5 years I started my online efforts. Fortunately my 13th attempt hit it big. Best thing you can do is build yourself a strong following on the social networks and find out for yourself what people need and what they are willing to buy. That's what I did at least.

    Jane,

Many of us started online and failed for our first few years. I personally "failed" for like 4 years online until I finally broke through and made it.

Everything that you get involved in should make you learn a lesson online.

It is OK to fail but the most important thing is to learn from your mistakes and do better next time. You will always make mistakes and even the guys and ladies who are full time are also making mistakes.

I made one last year where my "mistake" cost me like $10,000. But the best part is that you learn.

Yea, I hired a coach and had a site built up to break even in 2002. I called it a failure and pulled the plug. I quit the internet marketing and got a real estate license. How stupid was that. Imagine where I would be now if I would have stuck with what I was breaking even on. I was doing it on ppc and banners before there was so much competition.
Oh well... Real estate went down the tube as you all know and I came back in 2009 to my real dream of internet marketing. Still not back up to "break even."

So you definitely aren't alone in your frustration!
