Koreans are serious about their gaming. People dying playing games in lan centers over there is not an unusual thing. What happens is they sit for days at a time, very little food or liquids and basically blood clots form in their legs due to dehydration. When they stand the clots break loose and go to heart/brain and they die. Most korean game centers have fairly strict laws on usage, they actually had to make laws about how many hours you can use it but there are so many lan centers in korea, there's no way to police them all.

I also remember when WOW first came out, there were atleast 3 stories of infants dying at the initial release because mom and dad would leave the child home while they geeked out on wow for 12 hours

I once had a customer that would call and order gold and leveling for his characters, at least $500 a week, and every single time, there would be a baby crying in the background hardcore. I once said "We can continue your order once you calm your child down if you would like" and he said his wife was handling it. I called his local police about it, and they acted like I was retarded and was more interested in what game allows people to make money. I stopped processing the guys orders.

It's not just online gaming. Here in Florida, it's not all that uncommon to see news stories about infants left in closed cars while the parents are in the bingo halls or casinos. They come out after several hours and find the baby dead of heatstroke.

There are just people that should not be allowed to play in the gene pool...

Exactly John! People need a license to carry a gun or drive a car but yet any yahoo can have a baby.

I say put the "parents" through the same punishment that poor innocent child received. Monsters! Grrrrr
