Access to videos in my website

Hi.

I want to make a few video courses for my website. I'm thinking about these 3 options:

-- Videos that every one can see,
-- Videos that only members can see
-- Vdeos that I can sell the access to see them, even if you are not a member

How can I do that?
Can I make that video on YouTube or iMovie?
If I need to add a password protection, Will it be the same password for every single person?

Thank you.

I can only answer partially, with respect to Youtube. You cannot have a YT video be viewable on your website without it also being viewable on YT itself, which means everyone can see it there if they find it.

You CAN make YT videos "private" but that would mean giving people specific permission to see each video. You cannot embed a private video on your site from Youtube - - at least, I never figured out how to make that work.

Other services like Amazon S3 WILL allow you to do what you want, but it will cost you. There are scripts and programs available that will allow you to use a private player on your website, which will stream video from Amazon S3. You can set password permissions for this, so that videos would only be viewable through that player on your site (containing the password).

    Good luck with it!

    Best Regards, Georgetta

A mix of Amember and hosting the videos yourself should do the trick.
