Your Twitter Karma, it's not bulk unfollow, I have to do it 1 by 1, and Buzzom requires a premium account

  • I don't think you will find a free and reliable "mass unfollow" tool. In fact, "mass unfollows" are a violation of Twitter's terms of service. When doing such operations, it is recommended that you select a service that follows the Twitter's TOS to its finest level of detail and also keeps track of the history of all of your actions to insure that your subsequent actions don't violate Twitter's TOS.

you can download a free trial of TweetAdder.

Taken from the program's description: "The TweetAdder Demo is fully functional, but is limited to 250 follows, 10 messages, and 10 twitter updates."

If you just use it to mass unfollow, you can probably use it for an unlimited amount of time.

  • I am sure Tweet Adder might work just fine for this. Just make sure whatever tool or service you use, it keeps track of all your unfollows (preferrably in a database) so you don't follow-unfollow the same people again and again. That would result in those users blocking you and is a sure recipe for getting your account suspended.

If you want to mass unfollow, just remember that there are a lot of people who don't appreciate people doing that and you could lose your followers. Why would they want to read your posts if they aren't good enough for you to read theirs?

Outside of my first 25 follows I have never followed someone other than those who follow me...I follow back. Lately every couple of days I use "friend or follow" to unfollow those who unfollowed me and I've been seeing masses of people doing the mass unfollow. I'm betting that most of those jerks used the automated follow features just to get followers that they aren't concerned about - yet they still want the followers to follow them. Well ya know what? That is really just a dead out mis-understanding of the word "SOCIAL" in "SOCIAL MEDIA". Social media isn't - hey everyone look at me, it's interaction.

Maybe you should think twice about why you want to ditch everyone off.

I'll help make life easy for you though and look for you in my list of followers. If you are there, I'll just drop you off and save you some hassles.
