I'm curious do any of you know or have any idea...or speculations what percent of the Internets content is made up by affiliate marketers? I'm trying to do some research on the impact of the Internet on relationships (business , social ect) but it seems almost every website I land on is an affiliate site.

Very true... I wasn't thinking big enough! I was just thinking of all of the review sites/article marketing info that I come across. These sites make it hard to find 'real' or non monetized information. I'm not surprised that Google is making changes that affect this type of affiliate business, it makes a lot of sense.

Amazon doesn't count. They are more a store than an affiliate. And a lot of the stuff they are the affiliate for has content provide by the SELLER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most affiliates provide nothing, or garbage. SOME AUGMENT their offerings with sales, and THEY provide content, but the affiliate is more a consequence.

OTHERS actually DO try to provide more info to help sell what they are an affiliate for.

MOST is JUNK though! Try checking google sometime, ro some such. HECK, check your MAILBOX!

Google is LOADED with garbage, and sites that copy one another. They also have affiliates of "search engines" which are affiliates of OTHER "search engines", etc....

I swear, things that used to take SECONDS can now take FOREVER!

As for mailboxes? Sometimes I get duplicates of posts NOT ONLY from a given "marketer",but between SEVERAL! WHY? Because the seller provides the content at a given point, and they all COPY!
