Nominate or Vote for "The Most Useful Post of The Month"

This is to encourage or motivate all of us, especially newcomers, to post something that will be of immense benefit to this highly esteemed community other than posting self-promotional, see-my-sig-file kind of or junk posts.

I discovered that some people spam this forum because they think or they were taught that "spamming" is the only way they can make some money from forums so they just keep posting rubbish just to make sure you see their signature file or whatever affiliate product they are promoting.

The funniest part of it is that some of the spammers keep posting the same thing maybe in a different way until someone literally begs them to stop.

I think we have to encourage those that are not posting junks but useful posts to continue and at the same time discourage spammers from posting useless posts.

So, I decided to put up a kind of competition which allows us to nominate or vote for the "Most Useful Post of The Month" starting from this month of March.

The winner will get $10 from me. And other interested warriors are free to contribute their own gift/package.

The Rules

1. Only posts in the "Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum" are qualified for nomination or voting.

2. Only posts sent between the 1st day of March and 31st day of March should be nominated or voted for.

3. The nominated posts must be more than one sentence or line.

4. Do NOT nominate or vote for posts by someone that has NO avatar and/or location.

5. You can nominate your own post.

6. You can vote for more than one post but you can't nominate more than one post.

7. The number of votes really count so it is not enough to nominate and ignore voting.

Panel of Judges

My two very good friends, who are responsible, and reputable members in this forum, Gary (garyfromdurham) and Kim Standerline, will select the winner based on the number of votes and other considerations best known to them.

And their decision is final. However, they are free to consult with other highly respected warriors, especially those warriors that have been here since this forum began (I mean the Elder Statesmen

), in order to arrive at the best decision.

The winner will be announced on the 1st day of April.

So, nomination and voting starts immediately.

Remember when Mike L was running the "WSO of the Day" JV thing? The people he selected as well as many other members of the forum viewed it as an award. And worse yet, they started viewing it as an official award -- as in one awarded by Allen and the Warrior Forum.

Even though this isn't the WSO forum, I can still see this going in the same direction. People who get the "award" using it as social proof... and others seeing it as an official WF award from Allen himself.

I appreciate that you're trying to up the quality of the posts here and get people involved. However, I'd humbly suggest that you reconsider your approach before rolling it out on the forum.

Just my opinion.
