Good morning Warriors,

So, today is my birthday. I woke up this morning thinking I was going to have a whole lot of missed calls and text in my phone from people saying happy birthday to me right? Well, wrong... The only people to tell me happy birthday today was my dad, my brother and sister, and my wife. Four out of all of the people I know, I was kind of surprised by it. Last year I had pretty close to 50 messages I had to clear out of my phone and even more coming through over the course of the day. Well, I am not going to lie, it kind of made me a little sad, Until I logged online. Whenever I logged into skype just a few minutes ago I had over 100 messages telling me happy birthday! Well, this got me to thinking about some things. I have been spending way to much time in my own little world that I have been neglecting the friends and people I know IRL. I just thought I would post this as a warning to all of my fellow Warriors, don't get caught up in the future so much and forget about what you have right now. Having friends online is great but just remember who your friends and family are offline as well, because the day may come when you do reach your goal and you try to go and hang out or talk and things could be awkward between you or whatever else for that matter. So don't forget who has been there for you in the past, chances are they may need you now.

Not exactly the best post as some have posted in this forum but I thought I should share this with everyone.

    HAPPY

(When my sister was a kid, she was horrible at spelling. She wrote my dad a card which read: "Happy barfday"...my dad was also sick that day. It still makes me chuckle.)

You mean we're supposed to have offline friends too? Huh...

No one likes this idea but me. My idea is to have an International Birth Day. Where we celebrate the birthdays of everyone else. It would be like Christmas, instead you'd say Happy Birthday to everyone!

We'd celebrate the existence of everyone else, and our own existence.

Buuuut ... I'm told this is because I'm just one of those people that's always forgetting birthdays and always getting forgotten too!

    first off, happy birthday

you bring up a great point though, us internet geeks are in our own little world sometimes. Its often easy to forget about the offline world because the internet is soo vast, so interesting, and and you can never get bored (at least I cant).

Ive been spending a lot more time with my family and friends and goofing off. That's the whole reason I got into this internet craze. Shockingly my business is doing better than ever now that I spend less time with it. Interestingly, many people say it often works like that!
