Hello, We are in the market for a projector. We will use it for training and presentations. We don't want the cheapest one out there, but we also don't want a £2000 model either. I would like to hear some of you ideas on the best valued projectors out there. We would like a rather compact one that is clear to read in most environments. After that I am clueless as to what we need! Any help out there? Many thanks, Dave |

The best one I found for travel (and I travel a lot) is a rugged and compact Epson Model EX51 Multi Media projector. It has a IR remote control, and you use it from your laptop or a USB. The graphics are clear as far I have used it up to about 40 feet away. It is also reasonably priced at around $700 USD when I bought it about two years ago. It works great for Powerpoint presentations.

How is the USB function used? I am interested in hearing what you have to say. In the amount of time you have had it, how many bulbs have you gone through? Many thanks!, Dave

It weighs only about 5 pounds, but puts out a bright light and brilliant image. The lamps cost about 200 bucks each, and I did have to replace it once after about a year. Luckily it burned out during a rehearsal, but now I carry a spare bulb. I've had several other projectors previously, and the Epson has been the best one I've ever used. If you shop around you may find it priced at around $600USD like at Amazon.
