    I like hard music but this is a mix of metal/industrial/screamo lots of gutteral noises and peoplen beating the crap out of their instruments

    I dont know how anyone can call what i heard last night...music. One song sounded just like the next. There were 5 bands all together last night, and i bet i didnt understand 10 words the whole night on stage.

    the screamo is where I draw the line on what I'll put up with when we are in the car.
    I'm with you, there is not much way to call it 'music' in any sense of the word.

    Well the only 'good' thing is that my buddy and I are big guys, and older, both wearing black shirts last night so everyone thought we were security. everytime we had to go to the bathroom or went to get a drink, the crowd parted like the red sea.

    And as a bonus, I have learned a couple things.

    Here is how you can tell you are getting old.

    When you buy a concert t-shirt...and immediately fold it so it doesnt get wrinkled instead of sticking it in a belt-loop or hanging out of your back pocket...you're getting old.

    When 'picking up girls' at a concert means waiting down the block so their friends dont see you..and you're in a minivian...you're getting old.

    When you go see the concerts you saw when you were a kid...and instead of smelling weed in the crowd you smell ben gay...you're getting old.

    Michael, my oldest daughters significant other is a "singer" in a metal band.
    All he does is scream. The first time I heard him I said he sounded like Satan.
    My daughter explains to me over and over that this is the type of music her generation listens to. No matter how I try, I can't get it.

    I liked the 'music' part of it, sounded like good bone crunching metal..which i like a lot...but every band there had 2 singers. One that would sing/whine in a high falsetto voice about how tough and trying it is to be a 20 year old rock star, and then another singer that would growl and sound like he was eating the mic
